A new digital platform Ubuntoo, officially launched on March 3, 2019, aims to “connect the world’s Changemakers” to promote collaboration “on solutions and technologies in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,” with a particular focus on solutions seeking to “put[] an end to plastic pollution.”
The subscription-based platform offers collaboration tools such as discussion forums and provides “rich content curated by experts and updated daily,” covering “groundbreaking Innovations, News, Policies, Insights, Collaborations and Business Opportunities from around the world.” Ubuntoo also maintains a database that currently lists “nearly 500 innovations” related to circular economy and sustainable development, with “more . . . added every day.”
