Albert Anguera Sempere

Data Scientist

Albert is the Data Scientist at the Food Packaging Forum. He is responsible for data processing and infrastructure, including database creation and management.

Albert is driven by a passion to merge physics, chemistry, and data science to create meaningful contributions that benefit society. He holds a BSc in Physics and a BSc in Chemistry from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Master in Informatics from the University of Zurich.  During his previous work experiences, he developed machine learning models to forecast various endpoints, ranging from the number of live cells in a bioreactor to optimizing harvest times to half-life prediction. Prior to joining FPF, worked on developing and maintaining enviPath, a database and prediction system for the biodegradation of chemicals. Through his work, Albert hopes to contribute to understanding how chemicals in food packaging affect health, creating safer food regulations, and ensuring that everyone has access to food that aligns with long-term well-being.

As Data Scientist at the Food Packaging Forum, Albert is responsible for the processing, cleaning, and storage of data. He leads the upkeep of data infrastructure, maintenance of existing dashboards, and development of new dashboards.
