Narain is an environmental scientist with a multicultural background and keen interest in the intersection of public health, environmental chemistry, and policy. He has an MSc (and soon also a PhD) from ETH Zurich, where he focused on both policy work related to persistent organic pollutants and laboratory research analyzing microplastics and biodegradable plastics in the natural environment. 

Through his work, he is driven to inform action and enable consumers, businesses, and policymakers to better protect society and the environment from harmful chemicals. 

As a Communications and Engagement Officer at the Food Packaging Forum, Narain reports on the latest scientific and regulatory developments related to food packaging and health, and he supports stakeholders in using the extensive resources that the Food Packaging Forum has developed.
