It has been announced that the 2020 Global Food Contact Conference organized annually by Smithers will now take place in a virtual format spread over four half-day sessions on July 14, 15, 21, and 23. The event will “explore the latest updates on regulatory requirements” related to food packaging in key markets including Canada, China, Japan, Latin America, and India. The agenda for the event includes presentations from government agencies, chemical and packaging manufacturers, food and drink companies, and legal consultancies. These include speakers from the US Food and Drug Administration, Health Canada, Keller and Heckman LLP, Metsä Board, Eastman, NOVA Chemicals Corporation, and the Campbell Soup Company among others.
