Partnership to improve UK recycling

The organizations WRAP and OPRL to work together to reduce consumer confusion related to recycling, improve quality and quantity of recyclate in UK

In an article published on March 8, 2019, news provider Plastic News Europe (PNE) informed about a new partnership between the non-governmental organizations Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) and the On-Pack Recycling Label (OPRL) “to better understand how to achieve the UK’s recycling targets.” WRAP initiated a 70% target for recycling or composting plastic packaging by 2025, and the partnership will focus on “delivering a consistent on-pack message to consumers to reduce recycling-related confusion and improving the quality and quantity of recyclate from UK households and other waste streams.”
