The Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has initiated a project that investigates whether risks of industrial applications of engineered nanomaterials are covered by existing national and European Union legislation. While the project does not address the potential hazards of nanomaterials at the consumer level, it may it may inform the risk assessment of nanomaterials in consumer products.
