On September 24, 2024, Jane Muncke from the Food Packaging Forum gave a presentation on food packaging and health at the Plastics and Human Health Symposium hosted by the NYU Langone Health Center for the Investigation of Environmental Hazards (CIEH). The talk gives an introduction to the topic of food contact materials and chemicals, highlights some of the most recent research on hazards of such food contact chemicals, and provides an overview of the regulatory landscape and its shortcomings.
