On March 27, 2018, the Food Packaging Forum (FPF) held a public webinar on the substance surfynol present in food contact articles and found to have reprotoxic properties.
Guest speaker Prof. Dr. Cristina Nerin from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, discussed her research on the migration of surfynol and its sperm-related reproductive toxicity (FPF reported). Surfynol is a surfactant commonly used in multilayer and coated food contact articles. After the presentation, there was time for questions from the audience.
