Scientific publication lights the way on safety assessment of new chemicals

A new scientific, peer-reviewed article published in the journal Green Chemistry discusses how the hazard of endocrine disruption can be eliminated already in the design stage for new chemicals.

The article includes a list of current, relevant bioassays for identifying endocrine disruption, which by default always needs to be tested in biological systems. In addition, the authors call for closer collaboration between chemists and toxicologists.
