Catherine is a Canadian science communicator passionate about sharing health research. She holds a Master of Science in Pathology and Molecular Medicine where her research focused on blood-based methods for the early detection of breast cancer. During her studies and through her outreach and education work, she developed a passion for telling science stories. This interest inspired Catherine to pursue a Master of Science Communication at Laurentian University, Canada. In 2020, she began working in healthcare philanthropy to support the emergent needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic and fell in love with not-for-profit settings. She now uses her science communication and storytelling skills to bring about impact through education and fundraising. 

Catherine is the Communications & Engagement Officer at the Food Packaging Forum. She joined the team in 2025 and currently guides the communications strategy for the Understanding Packaging (UP) Scorecard, as well as supporting written communications across FPF.
