EFSA: Outcome of public consultation on MixTox project

EFSA publishes report summarizing stakeholder input received for its project on the development of a harmonized methodology for risk assessment of chemical mixtures (MixTox)

On March 16, 2017 the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a report on the outcome of its public consultation on the MixTox project. The public consultation was open from October 27 to November 30, 2016 with the aim to inform the development of a guidance document on “Harmonization of risk assessment methodologies for human health and ecological risk assessment of combined exposure to multiple chemicals” (FPF reported). EFSA received comments from twelve interested parties, including industry, industry associations, non-governmental organizations, consultancies, national scientific advisory bodies, and individual scientists. The report compiles the received comments as well as EFSA’s answers to them.
