DESCRIPTION:What chemicals are in plastic packaging? What is their toxicity
 \, and which are the most concerning? The Hazardous Chemicals in Plastic P
 ackaging (HCPP) project set out to identify this. During this day-long eve
 nt\, project participants reported on the project's findings including kno
 wns and pertinent knowledge gaps\, highlighted environmental and human hea
 lth risks related to priority plastic packaging chemicals\, opportunities 
 for and barriers to substitution of hazardous chemicals\, and socio-econom
 ic costs of using hazardous substances in plastic packaging.\n\nThe event 
 looked into answering another important question: What does this all mean 
 in the context of the circular economy? Stakeholders at the event shared t
 heir experiences and discussed the way forward.\n\nPresentations from the 
 event were recorded and are available below. Financial support for the pro
 ject was provided by the MAVA Foundation.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n
